July 2026
  • Exit cards for teachers

Quick end-of-lesson checks from class progress — start an exit card on any topic, students answer three MCQs on their dashboard before the bell, and you get a live results matrix showing who got it (green/red cells, Guttman sort, session history).

    New Teachers Teacher dashboard
  • Major CAS upgrade for VCE maths

MaffsGuru CAS now covers the skills you need across General Maths, Methods, and Specialist — General: `tvm()` finance solver, effective rates, histograms, boxplots, scatterplots, regression with residuals, list transforms, and time series. Methods: numerical solving, Newton and bisection, binomial and normal distributions, tangents and normals. Specialist: `dsolve`, Euler's method, complex polar form, and vector commands. Type `help stats`, `help methods`, or `help specialist` in the panel.

    New Students CAS user guide
  • Worked solution videos in exam review

After a practice exam, jump straight to Darren's worked solution for each question — video opens at the exact moment that part is explained, from your results screen or question feedback.

    New Students View my results
  • Revision playlists for Methods & General Maths U3&4

Curated watch paths by topic and exam skill — work through Mathematical Methods Units 3 & 4 and General Mathematics Units 3 & 4 in a sensible order instead of hunting the course tree. Start a playlist from the hub or jump in from a course page; full paths unlock with Bronze membership.

  • Specialist Mathematics practice questions

Lesson practice now includes Specialist Maths Units 3 & 4 — complex numbers, vectors, differential equations, and more — with MCQs, short-answer checks, and diagrams aligned to each video.

    New Students Browse courses
  • Methods Units 1 & 2 practice questions

Full-course lesson practice for Mathematical Methods Units 1 & 2 — from quadratics and polynomials through probability, circular functions, and introductory calculus.

    New Students Browse courses
  • Methods worksheet banks

The worksheet generator now includes Mathematical Methods Units 1–2 and 3–4 — browse textbook chapters, filter by topic and difficulty, and download question and solution PDFs for class.

  • Reassign a class to another teacher

When timetables change or staff move on, school admins can transfer a teaching group to a different teacher — students stay in the class and homework moves with them.

    New Teachers Reassign a group
  • Exam solution timecodes

Link each exam question to the right moment in the solution video — bulk paste timecodes, see coverage gaps before students sit the paper, and export timecode lists for editing.

  • In Development roadmap

See what we're building next — targeted teaching tools to spot who needs help and assign revision without spreadsheets. Tell us what would help your class and we'll factor it into the plan.

    New Everyone View the roadmap
  • Built-in CAS for practice & exams

Use MaffsGuru CAS while you work — open it from Paper 2 practice exams, General Maths Paper 1, or any CAS-tagged practice question. Graph, solve, run finance and statistics commands, and check your working without switching apps.

  • Worksheet generator

Build custom practice sheets in minutes — browse questions by chapter and topic, add them to your worksheet, then download polished question and solution PDFs. Banks for General Maths and Mathematical Methods Units 1–4.

  • VCE ATAR estimator

Plan your VCE pathway with published VTAC scaling data — enter predicted study scores to estimate your ATAR, or set a target and see indicative scores to aim for. See how each subject scales with a full breakdown of your primary four and bonuses.

  • Badges & achievements

Earn badges as you study — watch lessons, tackle practice questions, sit exams, and build daily streaks. Track your progress on a study calendar and see which topics you've mastered.

  • Assign practice exams as homework

Set a practice exam for your class with a due date — students sit it online and you get Guttman-style results to pinpoint where the whole class needs revision before the SAC.

  • Practice questions across VCE maths

Lesson practice questions for General Maths Units 1–4, Mathematical Methods Units 1–4, and Specialist Mathematics Units 1–4 — thousands of MCQs, short-answer checks, CAS-enabled items, and diagrams aligned to each video.

Mid 2026
  • Practice questions on lesson pages

Work through topic-aligned questions right on the lesson page — MCQs with distractor feedback, short-answer self-check, and diagrams where you need them.

  • Exam results & question feedback

Finished a practice exam? Review every question with your answer, marks awarded, and the marking guide — plus a dashboard to track scores and spot exams that still need a second look.

  • Refreshed student dashboard

A clearer home base for students — homework front and centre, overdue alerts, and one-click links to practice exams and your classes.

  • Redesigned practice exam experience

Cleaner exam browser, cover pages, and results screens — easier to pick a paper, sit it under timed conditions, and see how you went at a glance.

  • Share lessons with classmates

Found a great explanation? Share any lesson via link, WhatsApp, or your favourite app — straight from the lesson page.

  • Marking coverage for exam bank

See at a glance which exam questions still need marking keys or solutions completed before students sit the paper.

Early 2026
  • Exam questions on lesson pages

Hover over linked exam questions while watching a lesson to preview the question in a pop-up — great for connecting video explanations to real VCAA-style problems.

  • Class exam analytics

Teachers can explore Guttman-style analysis for class exam results — spot which questions tripped everyone up before the next lesson.

  • Smarter exam import & editing

Drag-and-drop PDF upload, improved answer parsing, and a cleaner editor for Paper 1 and Paper 2 — so practice exams land in the bank faster and more accurately.

Late 2025
  • Online practice exams

Sit a full timed paper or work one question at a time with instant feedback. Choose exam mode when you want exam conditions, or single-question mode when you want to learn from each answer.

  • Redesigned lesson experience

Every video lesson now has chapter navigation, watch progress, lesson notes, and downloads in one place — so you spend less time hunting and more time understanding.

  • Comments on video lessons

Stuck on a step? Ask a question directly on the lesson page. Darren and the team can reply so the whole class benefits from the answer.

  • Engaging teacher & student dashboards

A warmer, clearer portal for teachers and students — class tiles, homework at a glance, join codes, and quick links to the tools you use every day.

  • Student dashboard guide

New walkthrough for students — how to join a class, find homework, and track your progress without getting lost.

  • Teaching sequence planner

Map your term on a visual calendar — topics, assessments, and non-teaching days in one shared plan your department can actually use.

  • Homework in minutes

Assign a video, set a due date, and send it to your class. Students see tasks on their dashboard; you see who has watched.

  • Class progress tracking

Open any class and see who has engaged with each chapter — intervene early instead of discovering gaps after the SAC.

  • 800+ video lesson library

Methods, Specialist, General Maths, and Years 7–12 — clear, engaging lessons mapped to what you're assessed on, with Cambridge-backed examples.
