About this lesson
This video is another in the Year 9 series looking at Linear and Simultaneous equations. Having looked at solving linear equations and having pronumerals on both sides of an equation we now look at the complicated section known as Worded Problems (or Word Problems). Lots of students find word problems really challenging as it's not always clear how to extract the maths from the question. Whilst I can't solve every type of worded problem, this video shows the common types of problems. I encourage everyone to practice, practice and practice some more! There are worked examples and the theory is explained in an easy to understand way.
