Title: Mean and median for a continuous random variable
Section: Continuous random variables and their probability distributions
Course: Mathematical Methods: Units 3 and 4
I would be really grateful if you can support the work I do by subscribing to my YouTube Channel. It really just tells me that people are watching and appreciating the content.
There are currently no lesson notes at this time to download. I add new content every week.
These are other videos in the same section of this course.
This video continues the series on Continuous Random Variables by taking a look at how to find the mean, median and other percentiles for a continuous random variable. I start, as normal, by recapping the work from the previous video but also take a look at the work from Discrete Random Variables as this is important to know why the formulae we use in continuous random variables are used. Having looked at the theory, I take a look at some worked examples which find the Mean and Median for a continuous random variable.
