About this lesson
This is the first video in the Year 12 General Maths series looking at investigating and modelling linear associations. Fitting a least squares regression line to numerical data is a really important part of the course and will be the main focus for a lot of SACs. There are also lots and lots of questions on this in the VCAA exams. So, I take time to look at what a regression line is, how it is created and how we can create one from raw data. I look at a number of examples which help me explain the theory in an easy to understand way.
